It’s time now to assemble the cover of your box. This is done in the lying press, after notching the corners, the front and rear boards are paired to the trays, making sure that they are even and square to the tray, one spacing board is kept in place with double sided tape, and the fake spine also held in place unto that spacing board. Adhesive is applied to that spine for more strength. The leather spine assembly is glued and carefully applied to the assembled cover.
After drying, the leather has to be turned in at the top and bottom of the spine, then the cloth is applied to finish the cover.
The last few steps are to finish the box, the trays are glued to the cover, an inside spine cloth lining is adhered and acid free paper linings finish the inside of the trays.
